HOW TO GET RID OF BED BUGS

Getting rid of bed bugs can be challenging and time-consuming but it is not a problem that anybody wants to live with, so it is worth the effort and The Big Cheese has a variety of effective solutions.
Some of the steps you can take to get rid of bed bugs are:
Wash all your bedding and clothing in hot water (at least 60°C) and tumble dry them for at least 30 minutes. This will kill any bed bugs and their eggs.

Use bed bug traps under the legs of your bed to catch any bed bugs that try to climb up or down.
Vacuum your entire home thoroughly, especially the areas where you have found bed bugs or their signs. Use an attachment to reach cracks and corners. Make sure you dispose of the contents in a sealed plastic bag and throw it away outside.
Steam clean your carpets, curtains, upholstery, and other fabrics that cannot be washed. Steam can kill bed bugs and their eggs on contact.
How do you prevent bed bugs from coming back?
Once you are rid of rid of bed bugs, you can take measures to avoid re-infestation, such as:
Inspect your home regularly for any signs. Use a torch/phone and magnifying glass to check your mattress, furniture, carpets, curtains, and other places where bed bugs may hide.
Keep your home clean and clutter-free. Vacuum as above.
Avoid bringing secondhand furniture, bedding, clothing, or other items into your home without inspecting them carefully for bed bugs or their signs. If possible, wash anything that you do, as described above.
When you travel, check your hotel room for any signs of bed bugs before unpacking. Use a luggage rack or a hard surface to store your bags instead of putting them on the bed or the floor. When you return home, inspect your luggage and clothing for any signs of bed bugs. Wash everything straight away!
Bed bugs are not a pleasant problem to deal with, but they are not impossible to get rid of. With some patience, persistence and effective solutions, you can eliminate them from your home and prevent them from coming back
