Description

Detect and deter cats from patios, gardens, refuse areas and bird feeders using the Mega-Sonic® Solar Cat Repeller from The Big Cheese®.
The motion-activated repeller detects animal movement and delivers a continuous variable sonic burst to deter cats without harm.
Coverage area is up to 8 metres in a 110 degree arc, creating a protected zone of approximately 60 square metres. The outer casing with rubber seals gives guaranteed water resistance to provide protection against cats all year round. The in-built solar panel keeps the batteries charged and removes the need for mains electricity supply. The slim wall mounted design is stylish and discreet.

Open the charging socket rubber cover on the back of the unit and, using the cable provided, attach to a standard USB to initially charge the unit for a minimum of 6 hours. The red charge indicator will light green when the battery is fully charged.
After initial charging, the solar panel will allow the unit to operate continuously provided it is in a light, preferably sunny location.
After prolonged periods in darkness or deep shade, the unit may require a further charge using the USB as described above.

Setting up

Open the charging socket rubber cover on the back of the unit and switch to the ON position. The product will sound an audible beep, and the LED indicator will flash twice showing the unit is active.
A faint ticking will also be heard, indicating that the ultrasound deterrent is active. Note that the ultrasound deterrent is inaudible to the human ear.
Locate the unit on a wall or fence using the screw fixing provided. The ideal height for the screw is approx. 1-1.2m from the ground.

In use

The product will activate only when it detects movement.
During daylight, the ultrasound deterrent will be activated.
During hours of darkness the ultrasound deterrent will be activated and the LED indicator will flash red.
