Defenders® Diamond-light Floating Pond Protector is an effective and environmentally-friendly way to keep ponds and pools safe from herons and other wading birds. The floating unit can be deployed wherever fish are vulnerable to attack, and its constant movement and light-reflection will deter predators without doing them harm.  

Simply fill the anti-drift anchor bag with pebbles and attach it to the main unit using the nylon cord provided. Once afloat, the Pond Protector’s constant movement causes its electro-plated mirror coating to scatter shards of light across the surface of the water. The light movement is easily spotted by herons and other flying birds and will deter them from landing. A single Pond Protector is sufficient to protect most garden ponds and pools, but for larger areas of water additional units may be required.
