The unit is manufactured from high quality, weather-resistant materials and built for outdoor conditions. However, in high winds or extreme sub-zero temperatures, we recommend that the product is taken down and stored temporarily.
Site in areas where birds are a problem such as newly seeded lawns or vegetable areas. For best results install the Hunting Barn Owl before seeding or fruit ripening to prevent bird feeding habits developing.
Move the Hunting Barn Owl from time to time to prevent pests from becoming used to them and remove them altogether when not in use.
Where possible mount the decoy above the area you want to protect; birds will naturally refrain from flying under the predator decoy.
Is this suitable for use in rain and frost?
It can be used in most weather conditions; in high or strong winds it may be advisable to remove the product.
